Let’s be honest, sometimes the only thing we want from a book is a warm, magical hug. But what if that hug came with a side of quirky paranormal antics, a dash of destiny, and a community so perfectly imperfect, you’d want to move in? If you love the cozy fantasy  genre as much as I do, then April Asher’s A Simple Twist of Fate is a great read to move to the top of your TBR.

This isn’t your grandma’s paranormal romance, unless your grandma has a penchant for supernaturally charming rom-com vibes, Cinna-Boob Buns, and fated mates who stumble into destiny with a butt tattoo. Forget world-ending prophecies; this gem is all about finding your perfect (and perfectly quirky) person in the delightfully eccentric town of Fates Haven, Colorado. It’s the kind of low-stakes fantasy romance where the biggest drama might be figuring out who gets the last magical muffin, and the found family are so endearing. This book is hilariously heartfelt and left me utterly charmed.

And for my fellow audiobook lovers who know the power of a perfect narrator, oh, are you in for a treat! Isabelle Ruther brings her delightful charm, and fan-favorite Teddy Hamilton (yes, that voice!) delivers a performance so stellar, you’ll practically feel the breeze through the Colorado mountains. Their combined magic makes this audiobook recommendation pure auditory bliss.
