April Showers Bring May Flowers… and New Romantasy Reads!

Hey fellow bookworms! Spring has sprung, and that means it’s time to curl up with a good book (or three!). This April, we’re spoiled for choice with a fresh batch of YA and new adult releases – romance, fantasy, you name it!

For the Fantasy Fanatics:

“The Familiar” by Leigh Bardugo: Leigh Bardugo is back! This time with a story set in her Grishaverse world, following a down-on-her-luck young woman who forms a magical bond with a mysterious creature. This is a must-read for fans of Shadow and Bone!

“Song of the Six Realms” by Judy I Lin: This one promises epic fights, hidden identities, and a thrilling journey across six fantastical realms. Sounds like the perfect escape for any fantasy lover!

Calling All Romance Readers:

“Just for the Summer” by Abby Jimenez: Escape to Nantucket with this heartwarming summer romance. Fans of “The Kiss Quotient” will devour this story of a second chance at love. This was my April Book of the Month pick! Get your first Book of the Month for $5.

“Funny Story” by Emily Henry: Dumped fiancé? Check. Dream job that barely pays bills? Double check. Now, Daphne’s rooming with her ex’s ex (total opposite!), hatching a hilarious revenge plot (fake romance, anyone?). Expect sunshine, laughter, and maybe, just maybe, a love story no one saw coming.

Looking for Something Different?

“All We Were Promised” by Ashton Lattimore: Pre-civil war Philly and a housemaid with a secret? This sounds like a must read! Filled with adventure and found family vibes.

“The Husbands” by Holly Gramazio: A really interesting concept from a debut author where husbands head to the attic and disappear, sending down a new one in their place. This book asks us how do we navigate life, love, and choice in a world of never-ending options?

Bonus!

“The Reappearance of Rachel Price” by Holly Jackson: A daughter haunted by her mother’s disappearance . . . a true-crime documentary . . . a shocking revelation. Together, they will unearth a buried truth in this gripping YA mystery.

These are just a few of the amazing books coming out this April! What are you adding to your TBR list? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy reading!

xoxo, Lo
